Quailifying

277658_1076457_460_193.jpgSaturday brought some strange and unique qualifying. First of all David Coulthard's car had a technical failure and caused him to loose control at the fast 140mph turn 3. “There was failure on the car,” explained David. “Turn three is not a difficult corner, even when you’re flat out, and I was on an out-lap and not pushing hard at all. Something failed at the rear of the car and it just went away from me. I’m really pissed off as I think we were in really good shape this morning, but we just need to take it on the chin and see what we can do in the race.”, not exactly a great way to start his 200th GP.

The Mclaren cars seemed to struggle for pace at Barcelona. Montoya will start from 12th and Kimi is just inside the top 10, he starts 9th. Let's hope they are on a long fuel stop strategy.

The two Toyota's are probably the most pleased, Schumacher starts 6th and Trulli starts 7th. They may prove strong as the Bridgestone rubber is looking to possibly be the tyre to be on.

The two Renault's are proving strong again, Alonso on pole and Fisi 2nd. Alonso mania will be going mad on race day.
