F1 through the eyes of a speed freak!

Ferrari Quick

Ferrari have ended the day 1-2 to show their dominance in the pre-season. Massa managed to go 0.3 seconds quicker than Kimi.

Massa put his fastest time of 1m31.260s and managed to run for 102 laps showing off not only the Ferrari pace, but it’s reliability as well as Kimi ran for 95 laps himself.

Kimi was possibly a little slower as he was testing a new Aero package on the car, Massa will test in on Wednesday.

McLaren and BMW were the closest running teams behind the two Ferrari’s.

Fernando managed a time of 1m31.851s with Kubica running fourth fastest at 1m32.108s, new boy Lewis Hamilton ran a 1m32.193s in fifth and the first Renault was Fisi on a 1m32.556s.

Montagny and Trulli ran a close 8 and 9 behind Kovalainen (who had a 200mph accident), it looks like the Toyota’s may just be finding some pace, even if they are over a second from the front.

As always testing is not really indicative of the performance when the teams get to Australia, but at the moment it seems that Kimi and Massa may be the odds on favorites.

massa is quick definately. kimi will be the #1 driver for ferrari by the end of the season if the f2007 is reliable. he may be tough on the cars he drives but is natually quicker than any driver in f1.

Yeah I do think that as well. However it might be down to how fragile the F2007 turns out to be, Massa is very light on his cars, however Kimi is certainly the polar oposite.
