Kimi Wins down under
Kimi has won the first Grand Prix of the season in his first race drive for Ferrari. Kimi controlled the race off the start line, and never looked like he would be beaten.
Second was Fernando Alonso, who actually lost out to both Nick Heidfeld and his young team mate Lewis Hamilton, who passed him in a great move into turn one at the start.
Lewis managed third spot at the end, and is the most successful British rookie in F1 since 1966.
A full race review later in the day, but for now, from me, it’s bedtime. Well done to you if you stayed up to watch it live.

Good stuff. I managed to stay up and watch a little before dozing off.
Well I got up at 2.30am to watch it. Managed to stay awake although I’m surprised I didn’t fall asleep, the race wasn’t particularly interesting or inspirng for the rest of the season. Let’s hope the nest one has a bit more interest to keep the fans happy.
I’m not sure about it being a bad race. We learnt a geat deal, the Ferrari cars are quick, the McLaren are reliable and not too far off the pace. Lewis Hamilton showed he can step up to the plate, he made a couple of minor mistakes but nothing too drastic.
BMW have shown that they will be a force this season.
Honda really need to get their act together.
