The Hearing
So we now know that McLaren are being penalised for the whole Stepney and Coughlan shenanigans.
So what does this mean to the team? well they will fight on, both in the championship, and also in the courts.
The drivers will still be able to win the drivers championship, however the team have been denied the chance for the team win they deserve.
They have without a shadow of doubt got the best all round car this season. If Ferrari are happy to win the championship in this way, it just shows that they are not in the sport for the sport, and rather to win at any cost.
I for one hope that the McLaren team fight it through the courts and win, as they will certainly win both championships this year, even if they don’t lift both trophies.
On the good side of things, Mario Theissen has said that he does not want to come second in this way. The sign of a true sporting team.
The FIA need to grow some genitals, and tell Ferrari that they are not the Italian teams personal lapdogs. I think it’s about time some changes inside the sports governing body happen, with the head of it resigning and allowing someone that will not bow down to any of the teams to take over.
This is a very negative day for the sport, it will not be the end of McLaren, but it may be the beginning of the end for the current FIA administration.
McLaren will certainly take this to appeal, and I would not be surprised if the matter does not end up in civil action from the McLaren team for damages incurred.
From us at f1-blog, chin up McLaren, and don’t let the buggers grind you down.

I imagine three thing from this;
1-you are british, its very clear from the way you defend Mclaren and attack Ferrari, that would be different if Hamilton was working for Ferrari.
2-you have not read the 14 page statement with all the evidence.
3-this is not a ferrari problem, they were the victims as every other team on the grid this year.
Mclaren Cheat, deal with it, they are the problem deal with it, they should have been thrown out of 2007, deal with it.

Agreed I am British
It has nothing to do with Lewis, personaly I wish the press would drop him a bit, yes he is good, but there are other drivers on the grid
Ferrari are partialy to blame in all this, after all it was one of their engineers that stole the documents in the first place! if they where not stolen from Ferrari, then this would not have happened!
The problem I have is McLaren have been punished for a Ferrari managment issue when it all comes down to it.
Plus we all know that Max is a Ferrari lap dog, look how many times the FIA have ruled in the Italian teams favour.

You guys are incredible in the way you think. ONE of their engineers did it, Ferrari and all the other teams can only control their employs till certain degree, ONE of the Mclaren took it, till that point Mclaren as a TEAM had no problems but when that Mclaren engineer SHARE this info to other in the TEAM and USE that info on their cars and strategies, thats when I think things changed and punishment come into place.
Its ok to recognize when someone in “your” team do something WRONG and deserve to be punished.
PS: I think Lewis is an excellent driver.
