Bourdais out

bourdais1It looks like Sebastien Bourdais has had his last F1 race, for the moment at least. Toro Rosso have confirmed that the French Champcar champion will not be the pilot for the car at the Hungarian GP.

Rumour has been strife for a while now, with people saying his performance in the team was bad in comparison to his young team mate.

The 19 year old Jaime Alguersuari is thought to be the replacement driver, and he has been good in the junior series cars, but whether he is ready to take the leap from F3000 to F1 is still to be debated.

The Red Bull young driver program seems to be showing fruit, with Vettel being the clear proof that it can work, however some of the other drivers that have come through the program (Scott Speed?) have been a little miss rather than hit.

Time will tell however if Jaime Alguersuari can cut the grade in the top flight.
