I have noticed a few people searching for the theme music to the ITV coverage of F1.
Well here we are, it's 'Lift Me Up' by Moby.

I watched the highlights of F1 last night and they have used a new them tune - not Moby - the lyrics that were repeated most were 'turn me on' and it is a house/dance song which I love but cannot find what it is - can anyone help? Tks.
That's the Moby tune.
Do you also know the tune that was used before the Moby one?
The one before Moby was actually a specifically written theme by jamiroquai. It's never actually been released, I believe it was called Speed or something similar.
I will try to hunt it down.

The original BBC music as mentioned at the top of the post is great… many memories… can someonw tell me what its official name is as I want to find the bass guitar score so I can learn to play it….

The theme that was in the Rugby as well was Start Something by the LostProphets perhaps? not sure as I don’t tend to watch much Rugby.
Anyone got the OLD FIA intro, as was used or ears and years before someone decided to change it to the current multi-coloured swooshy thing, which is pretty poor

Nikki, its Short Circuit and it was written by Steve Duberry. It’s not available anywhere as far as I know, however the ‘classical’ music used as the sample is Bitzels PearlFisher.

I’m also looking for this music from the new F1 promo.
It’s used on the promo trailer, with the red, black and white typeface animated to fit the overdub. It’s a sweeping string thing with a fat baseline.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Here is a puzzler for you… in the old days of F1 on the BBC, when Murray used to go through the grid, there always used music in the background, it was not the theme tune to F1 but more of a techno sound - can yo help ?

Going back 10 years ago, when ITV did its first F1 season. In Jerez, they did a feature that showed some of the moments of the ITV season to a dance-type backing track. Haunted me for ages, always wanted to know what it’s called. It sounds like Delerium/Tin Tin Out and has a good beat behind it with a ‘whoa-hah-hey’ vocal-line behind it
Any help tracking it down would be appreciated. Think it’s the same one that Saville and Nicolle are looking for

BBC used Columbia by Oasis at one time (95 I think in review of the season) and also they have used Favourite Game by The Cardigans. Check them in case its one of them.

I’ve had a dig about for the tune name, it rings a bell, but I just cant put my finger on what it is. For now I’ve encoded the montage and popped it here for ya.

In response to the above, the PearlFisher music content of this composition was an original recording using live singers and orchestra and WAS NOT a sample.
There are plans to make this track along with other TV sports themes by Steve DuBerry available in the near future
Ya Paul that is the tune i was looking for driving me mad if it helps ashleigh it was also used on ITV at the end of the french Gp in 98 or 99 season for there When Murray Walker was to go in a Mclaren Two seater with Martin Brundle Please help?
Wow, that’s going back… I’ll have a dig about and see what I can find, The murray and Brundel two seater drive is listed on “Murray Walker’s F1 Greats” DVD, I’ll have a look what audio is on the DVD, might just be the ITV feed.
Well I am looking for the theme music that they showed at the end of 2004 season on star sports, wherein they showed the entire seasons summary in a short 2-3 minute clip with a background music that I have searching since that year. It would be really Kind if anyone even knows the name of that track…

Before the race, ITV showed some VT with Lewis, Fernando & Kimi giving them the subtitles “ROOKIE”, “CHAMPION” & “ICE MAN” iirc - it has some nice bassy punchy music set to it, does anyone know what that’s called & if it’s available?

For how long will F1 bosses continue to think that fans are so gullible and naive? After qualifying on pole for the last race in Brazil, Fillipe Massa in an interview with Itv said: I’ll play my part but it’s up to the McLaren boys to play their part.
Does that mean, all collaborating to ensure a Raikonen win? After all he’s been trying to win the Championship for years now and Lewis could take a backseat.
In !997, when Jaques Villneuve won the drivers Championship for Williams, after Schumacher slammed his Ferari into his Williams, it was decided, that Hakinen should win the race. He’s after all, been in formula 1 for a long time, without winning a single race by then.
Writing some few years back,the Sunday Times Magazine had this to say: ‘Sponsorship has replaced the swashbuckling dare-devil as the persona of the modern grand prix driver. Laden down by a quilt of advertising logos masquerading as race overalls, the press conference reveals them to be what in most cases have become prepackaged and corporate spin.’
We have not been so gullible or naive as Ecclestone and others have been thinking after all!
