I watched the highlights of F1 last night and they have used a new them tune – not Moby – the lyrics that were repeated most were 'turn me on' and it is a house/dance song which I love but cannot find what it is – can anyone help? Tks.

It’s used on the promo trailer, with the red, black and white typeface animated to fit the overdub. It’s a sweeping string thing with a fat baseline.

Going back 10 years ago, when ITV did its first F1 season. In Jerez, they did a feature that showed some of the moments of the ITV season to a dance-type backing track. Haunted me for ages, always wanted to know what it’s called. It sounds like Delerium/Tin Tin Out and has a good beat behind it with a ‘whoa-hah-hey’ vocal-line behind it

“Nikki, its Short Circuit and it was written by Steve Duberry. It’s not available anywhere as far as I know, however the ‘classical’ music used as the sample is Bitzels PearlFisher.”

In response to the above, the PearlFisher music content of this composition was an original recording using live singers and orchestra and WAS NOT a sample.

There are plans to make this track along with other TV sports themes by Steve DuBerry available in the near future

For how long will F1 bosses continue to think that fans are so gullible and naive? After qualifying on pole for the last race in Brazil, Fillipe Massa in an interview with Itv said: I’ll play my part but it’s up to the McLaren boys to play their part.

Does that mean, all collaborating to ensure a Raikonen win? After all he’s been trying to win the Championship for years now and Lewis could take a backseat.

In !997, when Jaques Villneuve won the drivers Championship for Williams, after Schumacher slammed his Ferari into his Williams, it was decided, that Hakinen should win the race. He’s after all, been in formula 1 for a long time, without winning a single race by then.

Writing some few years back,the Sunday Times Magazine had this to say: ‘Sponsorship has replaced the swashbuckling dare-devil as the persona of the modern grand prix driver. Laden down by a quilt of advertising logos masquerading as race overalls, the press conference reveals them to be what in most cases have become prepackaged and corporate spin.’

We have not been so gullible or naive as Ecclestone and others have been thinking after all!

There’s been a tune stuck in my head for many years. It was an eletronic lyricless song that featured on Martin Brundell’s F1 focus on the redbull racing team where he used computer technology to explain the aerodynamics. Im pretty sure it was in 2006. It’s by the modern Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi and is called Passaggio, I would also recommend listening to Giorni Dispari as another nice piece from the same composer.

Hello.

Some while back ITV used the start of an instrumental guitar track for various motorsport programmes. I’ve never heard the full thing, and the only other place I’ve heard it since was as the background for a random item on Channel 4 news. But it sounds absolutely IMMENSE and I would love to hear from anyone out there who knows what it is. It’s an rock track with multiple guitar overdubs that build in gradually (it’s definitely not The Chain, but it’s got that same epic quality to it; it’s also definitely not Can I Play With Madness? or Rocket). For any other guitar geeks out there, it’s in A minor.

I’m trying to track it down as a present for my Dad and would be massively grateful for any pointers.

Hi everyone! Here’s to another great F1 season!
Can anybody tell me where I can download the music that used to start when the FIA logo comes up!It was only a short burst of music and lasted only for about 15 seconds! It has changed now but would really like the 90′s version for my Ringtone. I can only describe it as starting of with a whaaa whaaa effect!

thank you for looking into that for me ashleigh, but regretabily neither of the links are correct.

it was at brazil race, before the race actually started i believe, and it was a 5 minute (or so) segmant profiling all of schumachers achievements in his f1 career.

might dial 118118 for the answer.

I really need alot of help please.
I know the new theme tune is called “the crash” however the ones i have downloaded have lyrics. I believe that this theme tune is in the middle of the orignal song.
Is there anybody who kows where i can download this from so I can give it to my Dad. He will be so pleased:).

I really need the name of the song played on BBC coverage of F1. It’s the tune that runs in the background when Martin Brundle explains F1 terminology (t = tyres, o = oversteer etc.)

Does anyone know what the music is called that was played during the practice session of the Abu Dhabi of the 2009. Just this one none of the others. I know it’s a late 60′s early 70′s song (Flower Power) but apart from that i’m stumped. Glad to see Fleetwood Mac’s song back, where it so richly deserves. Formula 1 isn’t the same without it.
