Ecclestone to embrace Silverstone
So after years of name calling towards Silverstone, it looks like Ecclestone may be about to get all friendly with the race track.
Harry Stiller has talked about a deal that the British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC) have been working with Ecclestone over. He said Ecclestone had agreed in principle to "an arrangement whereby there is common ground for a 50-50 deal between the Formula One Management (FOM) and Silverstone on a long-term, ongoing basis."
This would be a bit of a coo for Silverstone as it's title sponsor Fosters has already announced it is to pull out of F1 at the end of the season. It would also mean the current deal for races until 2009 would almost definitely be extended.
