ITV Streaming issues

It seems the live stream of the practice sessions has gone well, too well in fact, the ITV website is struggling under load.

Perhaps ITV will take this as a sign of the fact that they should broadcast it on the telly, even if it’s on ITV4 or ITV4!

Woops

UPDATE - It seems now that LimeLight Networks (the technology partner that ITV use) are struggling now, http request’s are still working, however the video feed is dead. Oh well I suppose ITV and LimeLight now know the levels of demand that will be required.

As I type this it looks like Nick Heidfeld has stopped somewhere in sector 2, and caused a yellow flag on that sector.

The surprise showing this session so far is certainly the Toyota’s who are currently running as ‘best of the rest’ after Hamilton, Massa, Raikkonen and Alonso.

We could certainly have a good race ahead of us.

ITV no show for the US qualifying

ITV it seems will not be showing live coverage of the US qualifying session. There was a threat of this for the Canadian GP and the power of people complaining changed that.

Pop along to f1fanatic who have all the details on how to complain. Let's hope the BBC win the rights39;s next time round.
